Best running back group in the NFL

Now to continue the series, I would like to move on to who I think has the top 5 overall running back groups in the NFL. Remember, this not only includes one amazing player, but also the contributions of other players as well. After all, you are only as good as your weakest link, so lets take a look:

stiffarm.jpg (382×392)1. San Francisco 49´ers- Sure helps your passing game a lot when you have a group as deep as this team does. To start off with, you have Frank Gore at starting running back. The guy is a winner and will do whatever it takes to gain that extra yard. Then you have Kendall Hunter, who is a solid backup that can fill in the gaps if Gore got hurt for a few games easily. After that you have LaMichael James, who is a dynamic player that can be used as a perfect change of pace back. Solid backfield overall, but perhaps more names will pop up after training camp.

2. Seattle Seahawks- Two teams from the same division ranked this high? Yeah no wonder why they both hate each other so much. The backfield for the Seattle is as deep as it gets and is why they are ranked higher than other teams. Marshawn Lynch is an animal running the ball and many forget he was second behind Adrian Peterson. They also having battering ram Robert Turbin to add to the mix as well as FB Christine Michael. It is going to be exciting to see the San Francisco and Seattle play two times next year.

panthers_dude.jpg (425×290)3. Carolina Panthers- This group is underrated in my opinion. They have incredible players in DeAngelo Williams and Johnathon Stewart who help to not only make players miss, but make them pay dearly for doing it as well. To top it off, they have bulldozer Mike Tolbert to be there battering ram on the line. This group can play and I think will help the passing game a lot. Would not be surprised though if this team becomes more run savy next year with a group like this.

4. New Orleans Saints- Luckily for New Orleans this year, they won´t have to worry about being the Aint´s when it comes to the backfield. They have Pierre Thomas as the kind of guy who can start off a drive very well. He is somewhat of a hidden gem because many people overlook the running game for this team due to a guy name Drew Brees. They also have Mark Ingram as a very solid backup to Pierre Thomas. Then you have your change of back player in Darren Sproles and all of the sudden you have the makings of an extremely good backfield.

Jacquizz+Rodgers+Denver+Broncos+v+Atlanta+ZnYzHTv_iuTl.jpg (594×412)5. Atlanta Falcons- Letting go of Michael Turner was both good and bad. Adding Steven Jackson was both very under the radar and extremely good for the Falcons. The guy can still play for another year at least and is very dangerous with the ball. Then you have change of pace back player Jacquizz Rodgers, who is very good at making people miss and I think is going to be fun to watch next year after teams have to deal with Steven Jackson. Have fun defending against this team, they are looking very good on offense as a whole.
